Location: Walton, Kentucky
Average Wage: $50,000 to $60,000 annually
Safety Bonus: $250.00 every 6 months without an accident/incident

Requirements:
• Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Must meet all requirements as defined by DOT regulations 49 CFR 383.51.
• Must have an acceptable background check and driving record.
• Must submit to DOT pre-employment drug testing.
• Must meet Bavarian Trucking Co., Inc.’s Motor Vehicle Report qualification standard.

Preferred:
• High school diploma or GED certification
• At least three years of driving experience

Position Summary:
Operating a roll-off truck in a prompt and courteous manner while completing waste removal for commercial roll-off customers.

Employee Responsibilities:
The following are the required responsibilities for a particular employee of this position. The required responsibilities may vary and are not limited to the following:
• Complete pre-trip inspection including, but not limited to, checking fluid levels, checking all tire pressures, roadside safety equipment, and truck gauges and controls.
• Safely maneuver truck between disposal site and customer locations.
• Operate hydraulic controls in order to properly dispose the collected waste at disposal site.
• Properly tarp and secure containers.
• Properly wear required personal protective equipment.
• Courteously interact with supervisors, dispatchers, fellow employees, and customers.
• Operate daily in a routine that enhances productivity while meeting company specific goals and ensuring safety at all times.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and turn in as assigned.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related tasks when assigned.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to physically lift up to 60 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the day.
• Must be able to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly throughout the day.

Working Conditions:
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Exposure to commercial waste.
• Possible exposure to heavy traffic conditions and/or difficult driving areas.
Additional Requirements:
• Applicants must be able to successfully complete company orientation and training.
• Applicants must be able to complete a comprehensive driving exercise during orientation process.
• Applicants must be able to start shift as early as 5 a.m. and possibly work on Saturdays.

Bavarian Trucking Co. is currently accepting applications for a full time Heavy Equipment Operator position.

Location: Walton, Kentucky
Average Wage: $12 to $16 per hour based on experience
Safety Bonus: $150.00 every 6 months without an accident/incident
Employee type: Full-time
Industry: Waste disposal

Position Summary:
• Operates bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, front end loaders, wheel loaders, off road dump trucks, and other equipment.
• Safely moves dirt, rocks, waste, or other material in a manner which does not endanger personnel or equipment.
• Conducts pre-trip/post-trip inspections on equipment and completes necessary forms.
• Operates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping, and/or related assignments.
• Continuously monitors the equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal down time. Cleans waste from equipment body and wheels or tracks.
• Interacts professionally with internal and external customers and co-workers.
• Proficiently completes all operating and labor tasks assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Operates equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.

Requirements:
• Must have an acceptable background check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing). Also, ability to withstand “uneven” ride on equipment.
• Experience operating excavator, backhoe, dozer, and off-road truck, or similar experience. Ability to operate equipment safely. Must be able to show proficiency on this equipment.
• Must be able to complete training on other landfill equipment as necessary.
• Must be dependable, a self-starter, and able to identify and perform daily operational requirements.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
• Ability to work in conditions with exposure to weather elements.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with others.
• Must pass operational test to be certified to operate equipment.
• Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department, or line of business.

Preferred:
• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Heavy equipment/operator experience of 2 plus years.
